*Zagrobla's win as 2003 U.S. National Champion Senior Mare had a variety of meanings for people in her life: for Jeff Wallace, her lessee, a renewed awareness of the spiritual bond between horses and people; for Urszula and Jerzy Bialobok at Michalow Stud in Poland, a rejoicing at the news of another Michalow-bred U.S. National Champion; for retired director Ignacy Jaworowski, another credit to his wisdom in bringing the American stallion Monogramm to Michalow; for George Zbyszewski, another star on his chart in negotiating leases of horses (future Nationals winners) from Poland; for handler Michael Byatt, a special appreciation for *Zagrobla as one of five National halter champions he showed at Nationals; for all the rest of us, a chance to cheer a new show star and to again recognize the beauty and athletic ability of Polish Arabians.
